Mommy on a Mission {Weight loss/C25k Week 4 Update}

Welcome to this Valentine's Edition of my weekly weigh-in :) And it is indeed a LOVE-ly day! {Well aren't I in a much more chipper mood since my last weigh in!} I do have these three awesome little Valentines to put a smile on my face...

And a super sweet hubby too :)

Now before that box of chocolate kills me...

Weeks postpartum: 10
Last week''s weight: 144
This week's weight: 143

I lost a pound! Woooo hoo! Total weight loss since I started working out 4 weeks ago is 4 pounds.

First of all I just want to say thank you for all of you who commented here and on my Facebook page last week, giving me support and encouragement after a frustrating weigh-in. The response I got from you all is one of the many reasons I like to blog about my life, the good and the bad. You help me get through it and know that I'm not alone. You also give me advice and tips to help me be even better! THANK YOU!

I am half way through Week 4 of the Couch to 5K program and it is going great. I feel GREAT, and can tell that the program is doing it's job to slowly ease me back into running and building my endurance. I have yet to be sore after a run (I don't know if that is a good thing, but I do know that it helps keep me sticking with it because I know my body can handle it) and I feel strong during my runs.

Oh yeah, I signed up for a 5k race! It's on March 2nd and a fundraiser for Jade's school. I will be at the end of my 6th week in C25k (it's a 9 week program) and I'm just going to do my best :) I'm running it with a few girlfriends and I can't wait!

In other fitness news, I bought some 5 pound weights today! I downloaded some free workout apps to my smartphone that give 5-10 minute workouts for arms, abs, legs and butt, and I plan to start doing some strength training on my off days of running. The key phrase there is "plan to."

Thanks for checking in and I hope everyone enjoys their V-day!
